SERIOUSLY, WE GET IT DONE

Getting your vehicle back on the road swiftly doesn’t happen by accident. It takes careful planning and crystal communication. It happens on a foundation of old-school training and up-to-the-minute automotive skills. (Did you realise our industry is one of the most closely scrutinised? Insurance companies and car manufacturers alike make sure that our processes and outcomes are beyond reproach.

That’s good for you and your car). And in the fifty years since we began fixing vehicles we’ve invested heavily in the education, tools and measuring systems necessary to stay abreast of the ever-changing steels, electronics and model-specific repair methods. It’s just what we do.

Repairing a vehicle today is a little bit like baking a cake. As with your favourite recipe, there are steps we meticulously follow to ensure the perfect outcome: we photograph the damage, assess what parts are required and tell the insurer what’s needed. Once they give us the green light, we order the parts and schedule a convenient time for you to leave your vehicle with us and borrow a loan car. At every stage of the repair process our work is photographed and forwarded to the insurer. The icing on the cake? We give your car a clean, inside and out. Sweet!

When my father (Errol) and Gary Shepherd began this business in 1966, their focus was on the customer – everything they did was to make sure the owner was happy with the repair and the insurance company was happy with the process. That is the legacy that Dave and I have been guardians of since 2006 as we’ve watched motor vehicles become both safer and more technical. Sure, both our Selwyn Street and Sheffield Crescent workshops have all the gear to fix your bump, scrape or crash, but it’s our skilled and friendly panel beating team that you’ll remember.

“WHY ARE WE MEMBERS OF THE NZ COLLISION REPAIR ASSOCIATION? BECAUSE WE ARE PROFESSIONALS.”
